Apollo
Review

Ordering and shipment was quick and easy, and when I opened the packaging I was very impressed with the clean design, so first impressions were very good.

In the starter kit you get a charge pack which charges your e-cigarette battery on the go. You get 2 lithium batteries, a USB charger and a wall adaptor, a pack of 5 cartridges (cartomizers) in flavours of your choice, and a 500-puff disposable cigarette.

The carry-box looks like a box of conventional cigarettes and also doubles up to charge the batteries. This is always a great idea and takes the worry out of running out of charge when out and about.

Apollo utilizes 2-piece design technology, so screw on a cartomizer, and away you go!

After taking a few pulls on the cartridge to get it going, vapour production is impressive and the tobacco flavoured cartomizers I tested tasted pretty good. The throat hit was OK too. The only down side of my first impressions was the noise, there was a definite whistle when inhaling through it, I can’t imagine sitting in my office with that noise, but in the pub you’ll be fine!

The battery lasted for 3 hours first off and a cartridge lasted most of the day, so no complaints there. I had the other battery in the carry case charging through the USB cable at work.

Verdict
Priced at under £45 I think it’s set at a fair price. It looks pretty cool too (I had the black one) and throughout the test it worked faultlessly. It kept me satisfied throughout the day, I just wish it didn’t whistle so much.
